Frequently asked questions
Borrowing
How much can I borrow?
From N$ 500 to N$ 10,000. The amount we can offer depends on your income: by law your monthly instalment may not be more than the lesser of half your discretionary income or one-third of your gross salary. We work this out from your payslip and bank statements.
How long do I have to repay?
Loans under N$ 2,000 are repaid in one payment on your next salary date. Loans of N$ 2,000 and more can be repaid over 1, 2 or 3 months in equal monthly instalments.
What does a loan cost?
One 26% once-off interest on the amount you borrow, plus small government charges set by law. There is no initiation fee and no service fee. As an estimate, N$ 2,000.00 over 3 months comes to about N$ 2,545.60 in total, or 3 instalments of about N$ 848.53. See every fee.
What do I need to apply?
Your ID document, your latest payslip and your last 3 months' bank statements from the account your salary is paid into.
Who can apply?
You need to be 18 or older, employed in Namibia with a monthly payslip, and have your salary paid into a bank account. We don't lend to anyone who is unemployed or already under debt review, and every application gets an affordability check.
How quickly will I hear back?
Most applications get a decision within 30 minutes during office hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00). Once you sign, funds are usually in your account within 24 hours.
What if my application is declined?
We tell you why. If a smaller loan would be affordable for you, we offer that instead; a loan you can repay is better for you than a bigger one you can't.
Repaying
How do I repay?
By debit order. When you sign your agreement you also sign a debit order mandate, and each instalment is collected from your salary account on payday through the NamPay enhanced debit order (EnDO) system.
Can I settle my loan early?
Yes, at any time and with no penalty. You pay only the interest that applies up to the settlement date, worked out pro rata. Ask us for a settlement quote by phone or from your account.
Can I change my mind after signing?
Yes. You have a 3-day cooling-off period after signing during which you can cancel the agreement. Call us and we will explain how to return the money.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Call us as soon as you know, so we can find a way forward together. Default interest of at most 5% on the overdue amount may apply, for no more than 3 months. We give you 28 days' notice before reporting to a credit bureau, and written notice before any legal action or handover.
Can I pay in myself, for example to settle early?
Yes. Ask us for a settlement quote: it shows the amount to pay and our bank details. Always use your loan number as the payment reference.
Your account and documents
How do I check my balance or get a statement?
Log in to see your balance, upcoming instalments and payments, and to download a statement at any time.
I've lost my loan agreement. Can I get a copy?
Yes. Download it from your account, or contact us and we will email you a copy after confirming who you are.
How do I reset my password?
Use Forgot password on the log-in page. We email you a reset link; check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
How can I check that a Dial-a-Bag document is genuine?
Every document we issue has a reference and a QR code. Enter the reference on our document check page or scan the code with your phone.
How do I make a complaint?
Tell us first: we log every complaint and answer in writing. If you are still not satisfied, you can take it to NAMFISA, the regulator. Our complaints process explains each step and the time limits.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. We use it only to assess and manage your loan and to meet our legal duties, and we never sell it. Our privacy notice explains what we collect and who we share it with.
